Advancing Bone Health Innovation Through Collaboration
The Digital Bone Health Study Group (DBHSG)—comprising physicians, bone health technology experts, and allied professionals—aims to address structural barriers hindering the widespread adoption of AI imaging and clinical operational technologies for detecting and managing undiagnosed osteoporosis within clinical workflows.
The group’s primary objective is to improve patient outcomes, particularly for those at high risk of fractures, by exploring how AI and other digital technologies can be seamlessly integrated into clinical practice to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and safety in osteoporosis detection and management.
Through collaborative research, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis, the group seeks to develop actionable recommendations that accelerate the adoption of digital osteoporosis detection and clinical management methods in bone health care—ultimately reducing the number of undiagnosed patients and improving long-term bone health outcomes.
